BP1960
After something like a 3 week break (might be even longer if the snow/ice continues), will the players be fit ,fresh and raring to go, or rusty due to the lack of competitive matches, there's also probably new signings that will have to gel ? Latics_Fanatic
Give them a few days off, relaxation... Bring them back in, get the basics covered again. We should be fresh, fit and raring to go.

GlossopLatic
On current form an unscheduled winter break is a good thing.
NewBlue
If they win they'll be fresh, if they lose they'll be rusty. Football.
HarryBosch
Any player of the mind to not have pulled his tripe out tonight could have done so & all would have been forgotten in two weeks provided he put it in in training. Conversely, had we won any confidence or momentum could easily have gone in two weeks... I was looking forward to going tonight but the game being called off is probably a good thing for us. Clifford
Fresh as a daisy. 2 weeks of magic from Dean Holden and co will have the lads bouncing with more zest than venus williams' jock strap. Dean must be a ruddy top coach with the impact he's had. More time training with him the better.
slystallone
Mini pre-season, akin to what other countries leagues do with their Winter breaks. Physically, they'll be fit as fiddles. Game sharpness wise; it might be best for 1 or 2 full training games or the old 'behind closed doors' games to be sorted. singe
I remember the last enforced mid winter break. We went really downhill for the rest of the season.

leeslover
I suppose if you know a break is going to happen then you'd plan the conditioning around that whereas in this situation you're making it up on the fly. It should give a chance to work on strength training, speed work and the like which need recovery time

BP1960
I think we have played foreign clubs here on their winter break in the past..might be wrong but Banik Ostrava could have been one.
