singe
Surely if Dowie was the man he'd be in by nowIt was a charity do hosted by Dowies Mrs, it could have been last night, I'd imagine the blokes would have got a bollocking for sitting in the corner talking football, being anti social and living the Mrs to circulate. Well that's what normally happens in my experience!

rteoafc
Because I'm bored, or sad, or perhaps more likely both, I've been scrolling back through the previous new manager threads on here - even one that lasted only hours between Shez and Joe. There's one common theme that we seem to have missed this time round. Where is Jim Gannon these days?

al_bro
Was Saturday night probably met up today on the back of an informal agreement SC flew back to the USA on Thursday according to DH in his pre match press conference. He must have come back especially for this event so that he could meet with Dowie.
IceStationLatic
Still in NY from what I've heard so no meeting in person... But if the Dowie stuff is so tenuous, it's hard to understand how his odds got so low, even shorter than LJ - after he'd already been chosen by Barnsley... shefflatic
it's all if's but's maybe's only SC, Dowie himself and the board know what is going on, what will be will be I hope it's him, i really do, but if not then there will be reasons and all we can do is accept the decision that is made in the end. dec666
I'm pretty convinced there is no new manager at this point. We're not going down, the season is over, why would SC bother? They let it slip on LP the other day when Gordon asked Holden about getting a new loan player.

MAC0AFC
Ian Holloways just been sacked at Milwall, would he relish 12 games here to try and get a somewhat unrealistic play off push on?
Latics_Fanatic
Didn't he move to Palace because he wanted to be closer to home after he was at Blackpool?
WIZZO83
Sky TV hold Iain Dowies employment contract. I would guess that he has asked for permission to speak to us or we have asked them for permission to speak to him that's why he is odds on favourite. Would take Holloway right now. Dowie, like most talent, will be on terms that mean he can be let go at any tme with very little notice. It used to be self empoyed terms, but akin to zero hours now I would be willing to wager.
