Simoncorneyisgod
My first thought is that if he speaking about the job it ain't happening!
Diego_Sideburns
Iain Dowie speaks about #oafc job. Read the exclusive in tomorrow's @OldhamChronicle. Is this the Chron's bouncebackability after "Corney Quits"?
Simoncorneyisgod
If he's giving the Chron an interview I doubt he's in negotiations. Hope I'm wrong. Or he isn't getting what he wants and is using the chron to better the deal?
oafc_lover
"It's just not quite the right time with my media commitments but don't rule anything out in the future, football is a funny old game". *BREAKING: Holden handed 1-year rolling contract*

dec666
I guess we have to pin our hopes on Redfearn now, which I'm sure is equally as unlikely.
Blue_Guru
Highly unlikely he would do an interview prior to being unveiled...maybe we were close to an agreement but final details around budgets with Blitz present was still too far away from what Dowie wanted. Our attentions turn back to Yates and Holden...Dowie reveals a press story of being so close but so far but aimining to keep the optimism...could he take an advisor role? deyres42
I guess we have to pin our hopes on Redfearn now, which I'm sure is equally as unlikely. Is there nobody else available other than them two then?
dec666
Is there nobody else available other than them two then? I'm just going off those rumoured, I can't believe how few names have actually been mentioned in the last 3 months. Redfearn seems the least likely compared to Yates and Holden. Diego_Sideburns
Perhaps Dowie is holding out for what he is owed by Chris Moore.
Diego_Sideburns
Redfearn can't be approached officially until he's left Leeds, which could be after 2:00pm on Saturday.
MAC0AFC
Agree with Dec in the sense that not many names have been mentioned have they? By names I means ones that are realistic... I don't mean Kuqi and Gattuso! Us as fans have mentioned Dowie and Redfearn and the papers have named Yates/Ashworth/Holden... surely there's some more inspiring names or even more realistic? Senor_Coconut
Redfearn was linked in the Sun today to us, Rotherham if Steve C**t leaves and Chesterfield if Cook goes
oafc1955
Could there be a press conference early tomorrow announcing his arrival and Chambers already has the exlusive!
nzlatic
My prediction: Flattered to be linked Great club Not the right time Other commitments Holden's doing a great job New stand means bright future for whoever gets the job And so on. oafc_lover
Could there be a press conference early tomorrow announcing his arrival and Chambers already has the exlusive! We'd definitely know as the club would have already invited the media to a press conference. It's almost certainly bad news.

palmer1
A mate is still adament its happening and has been for nearly 2 weeks. I cant see it now. Still curious why the chron and Matt Chambers have been so quiet though. Not even a denial.... Edited May 1, 2015 by palmer1
Alec1954
Truth is the fans are being treated shabbily by the club. Lack of comment shows they don't really care. If the Chron can provide knowledge then you can be sure the Club has it as well.
IceStationLatic
Led to believe it's partly what you want to hear, it's certainly not Dowie being ruled out, but not as much (in print) as what previous HP drippings will have implied to some of you. In fairness, from what HP has said - talks between Corney and Dowie still haven't actually taken place. HP claimed it's been happening with other directors and staff. But let's see what's published, what the reaction is, and what happens....
