oldhamoafc
People are over looking crofts defensive work. He could play the RWB position (maybe not twice a week, every week). But he's one of the better wingers we've had when it comes to defending!
singe
Well, a clipped Crofty, not photoshopped one. Chip shope owners throughout East Lancashire Mill towns are crying in their vinegar. C Latics player BTW. Edited May 19, 2015 by singe

rudemedic
If I recall correctly.... didn't LJ have a fall out with him for attitude/fitness and a barbed comment regarding certain footballers enjoying the lifestyle of being a footballer more than the football itself being attributed in some quarters to Croft..... also wasn't there a he said she said exchange over whether he had received a contract offer from the club or not...? His run and cross to Obita vs Everton was a joy to watch and he's got loads of experience which could prove useful indeed. Like others, I hope DK and DH et al ensure all of the attitude/fitness questions are put to bed early. Especially as he delayed the pass for so long that Obita ran offside. Score one for the underdog.
HarryBosch
People are over looking crofts defensive work. He could play the RWB position (maybe not twice a week, every week). But he's one of the better wingers we've had when it comes to defending! If that's right hopefully Kelly will iron it out of his game so he can stay on the front foot and keep the opposition leftback on his back foot.... NewBlue
He went up north, to Scottish :censored:e But Crofty said, he saw the light Bring him back, the Oldham harked And he ran back to Boundary Prk He loves Oldham, he loves Oldham He loves Oldham and he loves Oldham
rudemedic
There was some talk on here in his 2nd spell about some thinking he could play the number 10 role, as he could pick a pass, beat a man with a nice bit of skill but was relatively slow for a winger. Could be an option?
Buckshawlatic
feel free to scroll past it then ! I did do thanks - but if we all scrolled and didn't reply to ridiculous comments then a message board would be a fairly quiet place but thanks for your input

IceStationLatic
People talking about the run and cross to the (offside) Obita... ;-) But what about the skilful use of his then voluminous derrière to put off Tim Howard for the corner from which Smith scored.....! Didn't he drop his shoulder to fend off his marker when about to start that run too? .. he rattled Howard no end that day too, a proper PITA! Oh and what CROSS? that was a SHOT on goal ha ha ha
the_mighty_bosh
A good safe 1st signing for Kelly, although it sounds as though the initial link came through Holden. If we get the same player that we had last time around then we've got a decent player who will provide good service for the strikers. But along with his intelligence and defensive understanding, if Kelly can get him to the peak of his fitness too then we have an excellent player at this level. Welcome back Lee! Pretty sure that was Tarky he used his derrière to stop Leon osman getting a clearance to set him away on the counter attack for that first goal. the_mighty_bosh
I must add, if there's any chance that we can have Crofty on one wing and Harkins on the other that would make my year!
oafc-latics
Pretty sure that was Tarky he used his derrière to stop Leon osman getting a clearance to set him away on the counter attack for that first goal. It was definitely Croft who span Osman and ran down the right for the first goal. Speaking of shots that didn't quite make it on target, his 'shot' against Liverpool was a perfect ball to M'Changama who crossed in for Smith's first goal. SavageTheBeast
I Think the midfield is complete with Forte on the left where he got most of his goals. kelly Jones In the centre and croft on the right. Also would stick Winchester in the number 10. Edited May 19, 2015 by SavageTheBeast
