the_mighty_bosh
League Cup draw tomorrow and the fixture lists come out on Wednesday. So who do we want in the cup and what would be the best fixtures for certain times in the season? For me, getting a North West team at home in the cup would be great. Opening day away to a team I could realistically get to. Finally and most importantly, please not Swindon away on a Tuesday night in winter! josh_latics
Cup: someone like Hull or Burnley, that might get us on TV. 1st game: Barnsley away would be great, absolutely bouncing. Failing that, Blackpool or Wigan. Rochdale games at strategic points where we need 3 points and a morale boost...
Kusunga_Is_God
How many do you think we would take if we got barnsley away? (first game)
retiredballboy
How many do you think we would take if we got barnsley away? (first game) Oh god, it's that time of year again isn't it, where the "how many will we take there" questions come out....
NewBlue
How many do you think we would take if we got barnsley away? (first game) Just under 2000. Local away first game in the league and the same but at a Championship club in the cup hopefully ie. Burnley, Bolton, Blackburn, Derby, Leeds. SavageTheBeast
Wouldn't really want an away game in the cup if we are intending to play three away league games first. 4 would make August a very expensive month
Monty Burns
Oh god, it's that time of year again isn't it, where the "how many will we take there" questions come out.... No. We discuss this all season.

One-Size
Leeds at home would be a TV match I reckon. We would get to see the Chaddy end full too.

Diego_Sideburns
It's not on any TV or radio station live. Perhaps that's so we can't see how Latics just happen to be drawn away.

SavageTheBeast
If it was up to me I'd scrap this competition. It brings no crowds and money until you get to the semi final. Does any team really take it serious?
