I to have heard these rumours but my source is from within professional football.

From what I am told me kelly has caused a lot of problems and he could be gone this week.

Clearly on the wind up.

Don't WUMs get banned?

Our manager sounds happy in the Chron:

On his first week in charge on the field, Kelly made a point of praising his staff: “It has been brilliant,” he said. “I don’t fear big challenges. Dean Holden has been fantastic and so has Jim Harvey. There are the unsung heroes there as well.”

Just got home from tonight only found out last minute that this was happening tonight. Kelly came a crossed very well and not a manager who apparently is on the verge of being sacked. Started off with background on himself and how he wants to sell himself to the fans to show what he did in the interview to us. Says that he meets all the staff and goes and looks at the new stand everyday and was taken back with the seats going on and the workers still working when he leaves. Says that he spoke to other managers before applying who recommended him Eddie Howe and Karl Robinson to name some.

Talked about last season that injuries cost us with knee calf and back problems. Says that training on 3G may be a reason for this. He as watched every game from last season and set pieces cost us between 15 and 20 points along with fatigue in the last 15 minutes. He's working with the staff at both the physical part and also the psychology of the players. Mentioned both Lockwood and George said that they are good players but for a centre half they should be plying 35+ games a season.

Kelly then went on to talk about this season with pre season. Said on his first day that he was talking to an agent for 5 to 6 hours and then he started mentioning money which was ridiculous. Agents are now ringing him back saying that they want to take the money he offered them at first. Also said he has a 731 page document which, goes from pre season write through to the end of the season. He wants players to play with confidence and to get forward and beat their man and not be scared to shoot and attack. Few players were picked out and talked about one being Dieng who as impressed Kelly says that last season he may have been coached wrong. Also talked about Gerrard that we have held talks but unlikely to sign. On the keeper front seems like Cornell as signed says he changed his mind on having an older number two he wants two number ones battling to keep each other on their toes. Says players won't be picked on merit must keep form and do well in training.

Questions then were asked on the loan market. Says that we have been asked to take various players on loan but Kelly said that they must fit the team and be watched by him or one of the staff. Also mentioned the youth they want the youth team playing the same formula as the first and wants the young kids to develop and he will give them a chance. The reason he wants the youth playing the same way is because we could unearth a gem and they would fit straight into the first team.

On the trialist front we have four centre halves on trial and he released Cohen today. Says that we will experiment in pre season with four different formations. Was quite obvious that the rumour is bollocks and that he is here to stay and planning on a good season with us. Called us a sleeping giant who have had no success for 20 years. Says that fans have come a custom to the 15th place position in the league and he wants that attitude to change

Sounds good but remember LJ saying the samething about wanting the youth system wanting to play the same style as the first time.

Thanks very much Sav, interesting read.

The sleeping giant bit is half right I guess!

I have one source, that is a football agent for a company that represents some of the players at Oldham. I wouldn't trust what he tells me as gospel, I am sure the club wants agents to know as little as possible. He is sometimes ahead of the game, but also told me Dowie was a done deal!

I wonder if some of the sources talked about on here are as tenuously linked with the club, that is why we hear such grade A bullplop.
