BP1960
A good chance for the fringe players to impress against what will probably be United's under 21s. http://footytweets.com/oldham_athletic/news/208567
Dave_Og
do we not usually play the youths in this rather than fringe players?
BP1960
do we not usually play the youths in this rather than fringe players? I think the rules are some first team squad players must play.
Forte_Baby
To be fair seems the rules are designed to suit both Manchester clubs. Use to be a good little round robin comp this, fact last seasons final was only played last week. Wonder if they will switch it to Boundary Park rather than chapel road. Although i thin kit be mainly youth.
Simpo
Without a reserve league entry, this and the Lancashire counterpart are just what the fringe players need. Something like Cornell B.WIlson O'Connell Edmundson Truelove Winchester Tuohy Poleon Green Byrnes Murphy

deyres42
I'm sure Celtic would be chuffed to see their lad featuring in a 2nd team kickabout.

singe
I'm sure Celtic would be chuffed to see their lad featuring in a 2nd team kickabout. To be fair, I think that is more for game time/match fitness than a reflection on his quality. Well that was my take on it,

Well that was my take on it, They clearly don't fancy Brown so the lad will be playing every week unless he makes a mess of it, did ok on Saturday. flashlatic
Could this not be used as a ramp up event for the stand depending on the date it has to be played by?

Hands on
Could we not play first team and use this to open the ageing North Stand?
deyres42
Nice idea but it might not be played for months?
Diego_Sideburns
To be fair seems the rules are designed to suit both Manchester clubs.... Like the final when United cried off at the last minute, with Fergie saying he couldn't raise a ream, and leaving Latics with various expenses. BP1960
I see Latics have a bye into the quarter finals of the Lancashire Senior Cup, tonight Manchester United Under 21s beat a strong Rochdale team 3-2. Man United: Henderson, Varela, Tuanzebe, Love, Jackson, Goss, Redmond, Riley, Harrop, Weir, Fletcher. Rochdale: Diba, Eastham, Lund, Tanser, Rose, Bennett, Camps, Alessandra, Bunney, Mendez-Laing, Noble-Lazarus.
