NewBlue
So our next two league fixtures are against managerless teams. This could either be a blessing or a curse.

the_mighty_bosh
Or alternatively a hard working, honest bloke He'll always be this and I'll always want him to do well. Unfortunately every time I saw Doncaster play I thought it was entirely predictable and eerily similar to the last 12 months he managed us. They'd have the better of possession, put in loads of crosses into the box and do absolutely nothing with them, usually ending in a 1-0 defeat. He had a better situation and budget there, yet he still didn't learn from his mistakes. I think a League Two or Conference team will take a punt on him, however I suspect that nothing will change and it'll probably be his last role as manager. beag_teeets
So our next two league fixtures are against managerless teams. This could either be a blessing or a curse. Clearly a curse, I've no facts or memory to rely on but when do we ever do well against teams who lose their manager?

Agree but there is still some vitriolic opinion held about him which mistyfies me

HarryBosch
Bad news for the rest of League One if Doncaster now appoint someone decent. Have they still got a few quid, relatively speaking....?
HarryBosch
After he was linked with Peterborough last time, and with this job now being available too, would it be beyond the realms of possibility for Dean Holden to get one of them? al_bro
After he was linked with Peterborough last time, and with this job now being available too, would it be beyond the realms of possibility for Dean Holden to get one of them? Yes. He has some kind of record now, and it's not good.

Not sure they'll employ two ex Oldham managers two appointments running.

HarryBosch
Clough would do well to take on a club like us or Doncaster in my opinion. He's never going to cut it at a "Big" lower league club. He'd get time here or at Doncaster. I'm not sure I'd want him like but these are the waters he should be fishing in.
HarryBosch
Strange that Sheridan isn't in the betting for Doncaster given his South Yorkshire links....
longtimeblue
Really disliked him during a lot of his time here but became quite fond of him after that reaction to the Everton equaliser. Defo take far more pleasure when Johnson loses his job. Edited September 8, 2015 by longtimeblue
