leeslover
I never liked him until he laughed at the diving bloke. That makes me feel happy.
marhar
As well as that look at the Bolton side he assembled at one point- Jay Jay Okocha, Petrov, Djorkaeff, Hierro, Campo (possibly not all at once). This
Lags
No, can't see a single post on this thread that suggests that. I refer you to Harry's post on page one.
beag_teeets
I've never had much time for him but if he isn't doing anything on Saturday, or for a couple of weeks, it would be great for him to come and spend a bit of time at the club on a consultative basis and bawl and shout at a few of the playing and non-playing staff about where they are going wrong. Sadly it won't happen, would love it if it did though, you can't put a price on something like that.
Scapegoat
Taking the OP dream idea first... Would have to say having a long term successful PL manager involved would be something it would be hard to turn down. Not everyone may like the style he has played, but he would be helping DD with his experience not dictating players and style (though if it got us out of this sodding league I'd take that as well). Knowledge of training sessions, man management, transfers, tactics to nullify opposition etc are all skills that DD would benefit from. On to the likelyhood.... Almost zero sadly. If SA wanted any form of payment it would put us out of on affordability grounds. If SA is willing to do some work for free then why would he risk being associated with a club that doesn't appear set up for success and risk a failure to his name when he is presumably trying to get another major job? Best case is that DD gets some assistance on the quiet from the odd phone call etx

deyres42
He was reportedly earning just shy of 3 million a year at West Ham, the 13th highest earning manager in world football at one point.
LaticsChris
And also Blackburn fans when he had them 8th in the Premier League Would you be similarly dissatisfied in that position?
Dave_Og
I refer you to Harry's post on page one. What, the one where he says "maybe, just maybe"? It's hardly suggesting it;s a likely prospect is it?!

In that case he can afford to be our Director of Football for free!!
MAC0AFC
A world where managers earn less than their employees.... what is all that about. Yes I know that's been the case for years on years, but jheezus that's terrible. Edited September 15, 2015 by MAC0AFC
