Diego_Sideburns
I always thought the home management/players occupied the dugout/bench/ technical area nearer to the Chaddy End. It was the opposite yesterday - is that the first time and, if so, I wonder why the change?

Presumably it changed with the swapping of home ends, since the teams warm up on the RRE side now, don't they?

Magister
Perhaps we are using the "away" dugout because the away teams' record of Won 4 drawn 3 lost 1 is more befitting of a home team dugout?
bpmarko
They've been there all this season Since I don't manage to get to games these days, I forget when they even swapped the home end around, was it the start of this season?

super_blue
It switched at the start of the season along with the chaddy/Rochdale road end. We also switched the direction we play to in the first half! (Dependant on coin toss)

Magic Mikey
It switched at the start of the season along with the chaddy/Rochdale road end. We also switched the direction we play to in the first half! (Dependant on coin toss) We won the toss on Saturday (they kicked off) but chose to kick towards the home fans in the first half. I don't get why we would do that.
GlossopLatic
We should have switched it years ago regardless of which is our home end. Why? Because the linesman runs up and down the RRE end of the main stand therefore if the bench is on the chaddy end side it allows the opposition bench to get into the linesmen ear might seem a very small thing but if it gets you a decision or 2 it might pick us up points over the season. Magister
Brilliant! To somebody who excelled in gamesmanship and maximising advantage this makes total sense, Well done...you get in my team

Seen a few managers that have done this over the past couple of seasons, think it might have been Mark Warburton at Brentford who changed it to stop the opposition getting in the linesmans ear

BP1960
Sun is in the RRE's goalie's eyes during first half at this time of the year? You dont see keepers wear caps anymore, does anyone know the reason for this?
RobOAFC
You dont see keepers wear caps anymore, does anyone know the reason for this? Club shops don't sell them anymore? Think it was Lee Grant when on loan for us asked someone during the game to run into the club shop and get him one.
Kusunga_Is_God
It's fairly blatantly obvious, with away fans being in the chaddy end obviously away sides will shoot to their fans in the second half. Im guessing if we won the toss and changed it over is because it's downhill?
Diego_Sideburns
You dont see keepers wear caps anymore, does anyone know the reason for this? They probably wear a baseball cap when not playing.

youngen
The rules should be that you have to play second half towards your own fans, especially when away from home
Wozzer
The rules should be that you have to play second half towards your own fans, especially when away from home Should be interesting when you have the side then, like Rochdale. underdog
I must admit Diego, I only noticed the change myself on Saturdays game. I'm usually in the RRE so I think it was not so obvious

Frankly Mr Shankly
Is there any distinct advantage to choosing which way to kick off first? You've still got to play towards both goals or is my simplistic way of looking at this missing a trick?
