HarryBosch
Lads, lads - are you not all telling us what you would consider to be "satisfactory" in your personal opinions this season as opposed to what would constitute "success"? Dave_Og
Lads, lads - are you not all telling us what you would consider to be "satisfactory" in your personal opinions this season as opposed to what would constitute "success"? Ok, increased average attendance by more than
mikeroyboy
An owner who sees fit to risk some none returnable cash on two or three players to give the disillusioned fans an incentive to return. Increasing attendances is one of only two ways, along with none football income, to escape the bottom half of L1. Of course a manager who can identify such players and gel them into a crowd pleasing attacking force will likely take more luck than money. As most football clubs know. There are a lot of high end/one club duffers out there.
Magister
Lads, lads - are you not all telling us what you would consider to be "satisfactory" in your personal opinions this season as opposed to what would constitute "success"? I think you make a valid point with that assessment
Stevie_J
From where we are now, avoiding relegation would be a success for this season. Generally, season to season, I would view signs of progress on and off the field as success, even if it's only small steps at a time. Lads, lads - are you not all telling us what you would consider to be "satisfactory" in your personal opinions this season as opposed to what would constitute "success"?Fair enough, scratch the above. From where we are now, winning both League One and the FA Cup, nothing less, would be a success for this season.
Magister
I understand your point but this is the crux of the issue. Do you and my brother by setting what you consider realistic targets , citing managerial change, low budget etc., actually provide excuses in advance for mediocrity and dress up adequacy in the clothes of success? I think that is the danger....does not mean I am right though. That is why a discussion about club aspirations seems so important to me

youngen
Is success not 17th in League one, and reaching the 3rd round of the FA cup? Thats what weve been told for years... Edited November 13, 2015 by youngen
L1onheartNew
Knowing that the four clubs immediately above us who are eight points clear are about to go into administration on the last day of the season
