b0ndl1ne
I'm going to put it out there now that I think our current team with Dunn and Wellens together in a midfield 2 has the potential to break club records. Oldest central midfield in the history of football
HarryBosch
Dunn ahead of Liam Kelly? If Dunn did that he should be sacked on the spot! I'd burn my season ticket and stick it to his fat head if he ever dropped Liam Kelly for himself You'd want Liam Kelly to play ahead of a fully fit, if not half fit, David Dunn? :censored:ing hell..... Diego - have you seen this...??

Markspark92
Coleman Dummigan. Wilson. Wilson. Mills Kelly Jones Dunn. Wellens. Forte Cassidy One of the best teams on paper in this league that starting lineup, all we need now is a half decent manager, shame we won't see it because Dunn will stay in charge Edited November 28, 2015 by Markspark92

Forte Cassidy One of the best teams on paper in this league that starting lineup, all we need now is a half decent manager, shame we won't see it because Dunn will stay in charge Simply not true. That team above has a dodgy keeper, a pathetic left back, a right back playing as centre half, an unfit 36 year old manager in midfield. Forte who turns up when he fancies it and then a striker who might be decent but nobody really knows as he has only played 2 games.
latics59
Wellens was a class apart last time-if he can produce 3/4 of that he'll make a difference.

A midfield player who wants the ball and is comfortable with it will make a heck of a difference to us. Great signing.

BP1960
Bobby Johnstone was a Player's player. According to my dad, he smoked at least three of them at Half Time Plus a drop of whiskey.
eyres_28
He always dictates the game. Moves around the midfield until he is having an impact and getting his foot on the ball. We've seen him against us since he left threading balls through from an advanced position and gradually move deeper and deeper until his foot is on the ball. Great signing and 11 starts this season suggests his legs are still there. Can't wait to see us passing the ball properly again.

laticsrblue
I suppose we just have to hope that the opposition players will play ball and stand around admiringly while Wellens decides which silky slide rule pass to ping out next. yarddog73
Reading the Chron from last Friday and Dunn seems to be keen to get Wellens in the team as he thinks he will make the difference, he describes him as a fans favourite who will give the supporters a lift which you can't dispute at all but it got me thinking what impact he could have for us so I looked at his stats for this season. In his 16 apperances for Doncaster this season the team won 3 times, one of these victories came in the FA Cup against Stalybridge, since he was left out they have gone on to win 6 and draw 1 of their last 8, this could have more to do with the appointment of Darren Ferguson than the contribution of Ritchie Wellens, lets hope he has more to offer our team than he did Donnys.
