opinions4u
Was there ever any doubt? Those ticket prices are a disgrace and I hope Sheffield United take some sort of stand. They get half of it so they won't.

jsslatic
I didn't say they will take a stand, just that I hope they would. It might be good for the McCabes and the Prince of wherever but it's unfair on the fans. They won't take a stand, but that's not right. yarddog73
Do both clubs have to agree the price? Yes and Sheff Utd would of been as keen on the 70,000+ paying around 50 notes as Man Utd.

I think they have to agree any lowering of the price. The home side picks the price. Away side has to agree if away fans are to be charged more than home fans. I argued against this earlier in the season and was proved wrong by rudemedic and the FA Cup Rules. I haven't slept properly since.
SAV
And all manure season ticket holders have already had the entrance fee taken from their accounts wether they are going or not!!

Doubt it would've affected how many we sold. Like Sheff U, Corney would have been all for those prices.
disjointed
For all Sheff U get a good butty out of it, those prices are still effing obscene.

deyres42
Christ.. Folk are sticking the boot because it's United, as if they are alone in charging high prices. Couple of Championship games tomorrow, £30 for Burnley at QPR, £33 for Brighton at Derby.
losesome
I am sure the majority of latics fans would willing pay these prices now to swop with SU !!!

Nor does it absolve other clubs, like Wednesday and Leeds of their shocking prices...
disjointed
I am sure the majority of latics fans would willing pay these prices now to swop with SU !!! Of course they would, but if a family with 2 young kids who want to go it becomes an expensive day, football clubs risk alienating the grass roots supporter with prices like this. GlossopLatic
What's so wrong about sticking the boot in because it's United? Absolutely nothing! Paying those prices the least they deserve Is to see a hugely expensive team massively underachieve and play insipid dull football. Knowone will bat an eyelid until their are empty seats at old Trafford you don't like the price don't go. although as it's on BT paying 47 notes not to listen to Michael Owen seems quite reasonable. Aarondo Westy
Its a rip off. No doubt about that. Although its not just the scum. Football fans in general have the piss taken out of them with the cost of attending a game. Everything from a cup of tea to admission prices. Lee Sinnott
I would have no qualms in paying more than 50 quid to watch us play away at United in the Cup...
