deyres42
I've gone off the idea of Dowie and don't think it'll ever happen anyway. I don't see him ever managing us, or anybody, again. Problem with him, aside the fact he hasn't managed for yonks, is that if he had a half decent six months with us he'd be looking for something better and we'd be looking for another manager. deyres42
My mistake....he must be :censored:! Well he can't jump, he's not very quick, his touch is :censored:e and he hasn't scored goals for years. He puts a shift in though.
Gaz_Oafc
Back to the original post - is the sport hack who tweeted the 'new manager' claims generally accurate? Seems to have a few contacts at this level. Gets quite a lot of info on Barnsley.
yarddog73
Cassidy is :censored:e, you'll be waiting a long time waiting for him to come good. This from someone who defends Dunn to the hilt, OWTB's Gold.

bluear
Dowie had a budget he wouldn't now. Dowie had Jim Harbin as fitness coach. He wouldn't now. Those 2 things got us to the playoffs. Edited January 3, 2016 by bluear
deyres42
If he had a decent first six months, we'd be staying up. What after that though? Another relegation battle next season? Make do and mend attitude has to change, if we are to change manager again then he needs to be given time and tools to do the job.
Lukers1
First thing I do would bring Muzza back, we played some good stuff with as coach
losesome
Unfortunately i don't think they will sack Dunn but do think they will bring in an experienced assistant to help him.Somebody like Brian Horton maybe !!!
HarryBosch
Shez is odds on for the Notts County job. He must be available if that's the case.....
astottie
Dowie for me also but there's not a hope in hell. If we can't tempt him at the beginning of the season with a complete budget it's not going to happen when we are in the :censored: and haven't a pot to piss in! If he was out of work we could tempt him with a survival bonus but he ain't going to give up his sky gig for half a season! I would have agreed with you but I've spoken to someone who has some football contacts who have loosish associations with the club and they have told him we have met with Dowie in the last few days (to do or discuss what I have no idea). Another name of a similar managerial ilk and era as Dowie has also been mentioned. And it's already been a big start to the sporting year for gingers

astottie
Shez is odds on for the Notts County job. He must be available if that's the case..... Interesting. Just shows how fickle the football world is. They wouldn't have touched him with the proverbial after he left Plymouth, a good couple of months with Newport and he's attractive again. yarddog73
Royle/Scholes management team would do for me, whether either would fancy it is a different matter.

palmer1
Royle/Scholes management team would do for me, whether either would fancy it is a different matter. Royle is director of football at his favourite club. Scholes wasnt interested 3 months ago. I doubt its changed

NewBlue
Mark Cooper would be great but so would Shez, especially as he's currently in a job where he's lifted a team from down at the bottom to away from the relegation zone, and he knows this club well. Mark Allott was there yesterday on a freebie, good mates with Shez isn't he? Obviously sent by Shez to see what areas need strengthening for when he takes over!
