singe
Back of chron today corney flies in for emergency talks as Dunn job under threat!! There is hope! Is that a bit on sensationalism? Only yesterday, it was billed by MC as a scheduled meeting. Well, he reported Dunn implied that.
Twisbrogan
Back of chron today corney flies in for emergency talks as Dunn job under threat!! There is hope! Also says that Corney will be reluctant to go on the hunt for a 5th manager in 12 months & that Dunn believes he can turn it round & shoukd be given the transfer window. I mentioned on here yesterday that Corney may not be in the country and that the meeting Dunn has set up with the board may be for a different reason than he thinks... HarryBosch
What we seem to have lost sight of here is that Dunn took over a side that had been playing poor football and getting poor results since February. Taking over when the level of fan satisfaction was already so low is usually a dream scenario for a manager. But he's somehow taken us even further backwards, both in the quality of football and the results, from what was already a pretty :censored: state of affairs... That's quite remarkable and probably didn't seem possible when Kelly was sacked.. Edited January 5, 2016 by HarryBosch
singe
Anyway, it's unliekly to be Sheridan, if he does go. Nohairdontcare
I expect that Dunn will cling on to his job - as I don't think the board are capable of axing him and replacing him in the timeframe that would be necessary (a week or so). The board probably are aware of that - so they'll stick on Dunn and hope for the best.
singe
To be fair, Corney has always backed his amnager with some signings (who knows out of how many proposed). My gut feeling is this is not a sacking meeting. My prediction is Dunn will get approval for some signings. Maybe a couple.
Stevie_J
More importantly after he left he was on TV celebrating our Everton goal like a fan. In spite of being treated like :censored: by the club.

opinions4u
How? The sacking of his back room staff.
Stevie_J
How? By having all his backroom team binned off from under him, presumably in an attempt to make him walk. Then being told immediately after the Liverpool win that he was going to be sacked anyway. Then being kept around for a few weeks to save face, then being sacked before the Everton game. I think it is likely that something along these lines will happen to Dunn. Maybe not sacked but undermined by enforced changes. Possibly a director of football brought in or another coach or a new assistant manager.

Blue_Guru
Will we be as lucky as to get a 3 min video of the great man himself with Gord asking soft questions like: 'We just need the fans to get behind us don't we?' 'We all need to stick together and be positive don't we?' 'You still want what's best for the club don't you?'
