philliggi
'A woo woo woo'. As much as I love it for reminding me of a simpler era (in terms of supporting Latics and life in general), don't reckon it's stood the test of time. Which is exactly why I say it needs remastering for the modern era
longtimeblue
Which is exactly why I say it needs remastering for the modern era If we change the lyrics and the tune, it might work.
ghostofcecere
Is Zigga Zagga our only truly unique song or did somebody post on here we nicked that off someone in the 50's? My told told me it used to be sung by a gang of lads who used to congregate in the Chaddy in that era.

NewBlue
The No Nae Never Derby is on at the moment, if you want to see how many times it can be sung in a 90 minute period...
dkay570
Pounding by The Doves would be a great song to change into a chant, or Cedar Room. I've not got any alternate lyrics but i've heard them both bellowed out a few times at festivals over the years and when a few are singing it they both sound decent. singe
So, nearly 2 months on, are we any nearer to deciding on an anthem?......!
L1onheartNew
Whilst it is a bit of a rainbow anthem, I reckon Tom Robinson's 2-4-6-8 win away would be fantastic. Always one of my favourite songs. Similarly, Maiden's Fear of the dark, replaced with Fear on the park. We could even replicate the whoa whoa's to the guitar. Although 3500 hardy Latics fans would probably not be able to do it justice the way 250000 mental Brazilians did in Rio. Maiden play Brisbane in July. Can't wait! L1onheartNew
He's got the strikers in his pocket He's just 3 cards from a ban Cos if you mark the best uns Then you don't ask questions Cos brother, he's your man. But where he comes from is a mystery He's like the changing of the seasons And the tides of the sea But one things for certain this guy is well 'ard Cos every player fears the boots of Anthony Gerrard La Ia lala la la lalala Well, I like it anyhoo
Latics and England
When I see you Oldham We never f***ing win We just don't win enough We just don't win enough All the times we should have won But f***ed up near the end We just don't win enough We just don't win enough Our players slip and slide And they fall over And we just don't seem to win enough
real
I had a few non Latics mates with me yesterday and they all said that we use too many original lyrics from Just Can't Get Enough - we slip and slide as we fall in love - or - down sheepfoot lane I fell in love? real
Fixed My first thought was to use BP but I prefer the slightly more obscure sheepfoot lane. Anything is better than just using loads of the original lyrics though
