bozman
Anna Kocheran is there quite a lot now that the new stand is up and running. She was at the Simon Wood event and I've see her around the hospitality areas a couple of times on match day. My impression is that she is their eyes and ears at the OEC. Andy-latic
Used to love that old scoreboard, I'll probably contribute to this
kowenicki
Christ there are some miserable sods on here. How do you get out of bed in the morning? I hope this happens and we have a scoreboard that can add interest and generate some revenue. I'm not interested in people telling me it will just line the pockets of x y and z thanks. I'm interested in the ground looking better with a better environment to attract potential visitors/fans.
NewBlue
I remember when we launched our last scoreboard it was the largest in the country and people came to see it. People yesteryear were well weird. Personally would rather pay for some banners and flags to adorn the new stand.
longtimeblue
If we decide to sell it on, who gets the money?
Dick_Valentine
Absolutely not, no need whatsoever for a scoreboard to remind me we're losing. There are umpteen things we/they could do with a 'scoreboard fund' rather than actually spending it on a scoreboard. I'll start the list: 1. A new player(s) 2. NewBlue
If we decide to sell it on, who gets the money? Interesting question. Who would own it - the club or the new stand company or the fans who payed for it?
ChaddySmoker
Interesting question. Who would own it - the club or the new stand company or the fans who payed for it? now think about it
singe
What happens to old scoreboards? Surely they are some perfectly serviceable ones out there? Is there a Prem /Champ club that is due to upgrade one being flush with Sky money? No point in installing one with out if date technology as soon as it is up. mickjagger
Interesting question. Who would own it - the club or the new stand company or the fans who payed for it? Think we would pay for it, still not own it & pay rent on it like the new stand
Clifford
Don't united have one with just the time and score? You could get a GCSE class to build one of them.
NewBlue
Don't united have one with just the time and score? You could get a GCSE class to build one of them. The article doesn't even clarify if it's for a scoreboard or a big screen. Has to be a scoreboard. It's going to look a bit daft having a big screen at BP. Bertie_Dugger
Why don't we just hang a piece of hardboard up with a ZERO painted on it ?

Scapegoat
I thought that this was how we got the old one. Don't think so - it was state of the art at the time. Biggest in the country etc. Seem to recall a more recent failed attempt to get a scoreboard from another club
davegtt
Isnt there something at the Boleyn Ground we can nick at the end of the season?
oafc0000
Useless fact... Our Scoreboard is exactly the same as Evertons ... Does anyone actually know what is wrong with our old one ? Is it beyond saving ? Edited February 3, 2016 by oafc0000

BP1960
Many attending matches now have mobile phones with apps such as flash scores giving full line ups and goals as they go in from games all over the world.

SavageTheBeast
Where are we hanging it? Your guess is as good as mine but it's pretty big maybe between the chaddy and the main stand
super_blue
Scoreboard has been purchased pictures on the snapchat Does that suggest it's been purchased? I get the impression their launching the crowdfunding and the screen on snapchat is a kind of 'this is what we want to get' kind of thing! Without the crowdfunding they won't have purchased it surely!
