NewBlue
Plenty more headless chickens out there... There genuinely is. We always seem to be able to replace Kelly-types.
Steve_R
Am I the only one looking at all these players moving to league 2 and thinking we're better off without them? Does that apply to the manager who also dropped down a division?
Monty Burns
Got to the point where, if we're starting again, we may as well do it properly. IF.

losesome
Anybody remember the Mcilroy era. He used to sign 4 or 5 Irish lads you have never heard of every month and usually on a Friday. Every home game there was several players making debuts. Can see a similar thing happening this season. We are in a worse place than Blackpool were last July. Ronnie Blair and Allan Hunter turned out ok. There was also Billy Johnston who but for a serious injury a month into his Latics career would have become a great player. boyinthesnow
Except for Coleman every player that's left has gone down a division , just shows that without those loanees last season we would have been playing in league 2 ourselves. Not bothered about who leaves because the players we had were not good enough for league one . And Renshaw

johnafoafc
If the club have received a sizeable fee with add ons for a player in the final year of his contract then it's good business. I think it's fairly safe to say that under the current circumstances it'd be unlikely that he would've extended his stay. With the undisclosed fee business we'll never know

palmer1
What difference would it make to if the club told you the actual fee for a players rather than undisclosed? If would only provide fans with more ammunition to go on about fees we don't pay and players we don't bid for wouldnt it?

LaticMark
Got to the point where, if we're starting again, we may as well do it properly. A few years ago we had 8 new players making their debut on the first home game of the season, and one of the other 3 starters had only joined near the end of the previous season. Roger Ritchie
Hope the new manager isn't as wasteful with a clean slate and a new budget as I was with my first proper wage packet in the 3 for a tenner CD sale at HMV. Three CD's talk to me!
