Latics and England
The Joke Trophy has its own disciplinary system therefore suspensions picked up elsewhere can't be served in its games and suspensions picked up in it can't be served outside of it. I love the comment about Corney not caring about this game. I have little doubt that this is the biggest game of the season for him so far. This is where the money is
yarddog73
That's the reason the Robinson out rumours have been doing the rounds this round and the next if we progress will be treated as our cup finals because the rewards for winning a game or two are huge financially. Also a cup run is probably one of the only things left now to galvanise our support.
bozman
Absolutely. It's the biggest game of the season for Corney and therefore the biggest game of the season for Robinson. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Corney himself who started the rumour about Robinsons job, just to hammer home how important a cup run is. HarryBosch
Who is going to tackle in that team? All of them I'd hope...?
welshgaz
All of them I'd hope...? Who is going to tackle enough to dominate the midfield? We'd just get overrun like we do most weeks.

boundaryblue80
Just reading Robbos comments in the paper tonight...he's as much as done if we lose tomorrow... ""It was a case of coming in and steadying the whole thing, staying in and around the pack until we could bring people in at Christmas time and get people out - hence why we did give short-term contracts with the time scales we had to make signings. "A cup run is massive and a good draw in the next round brings money in and gives more money for us around January time." What on earth is his line about getting people out after Xmas. That's the sort of talk Dunn came out with. So much for "these are good players" that he's been spouting after every defeat. If all Robbo's eggs are all in this one basket, he's knackered if he cocks it up tomorrow.

So essentially some of these players have been on an elongated trial... What an amateur set-up we have going
yarddog73
Get people out? Thought these were Robbos's signings.
RobOAFC
To be honest, given the amount of players we had to sign its not surprising that some were likely to be shipped out at christmas.
mcfluff1985
Let's have a go at the manager because he had 2 weeks to put a squad together and some of them aren't up to it.
Chorlton_Latic
However 'clumsy' it appears his words are, he's clearly only referring to the short term deals like Woodland, Klok, Dunne, Martin... none of whom are exactly tearing it up. Not like he's going to rip up the entire squad. Nothing to see here.

It's been noticeable these last few weeks that the likes of Klok, Croft and Dunne haven't been involved - maybe he's made his mind up already that those on short term deals will be moved on. Seems ill advised to come out and say it in public though in case we suddenly need them...

cardiffexile
Id go 3-5-2, as nothing else seems to be working. Ripley Burgess Gerrard (Wilson if gerrard not signed) Clarke Wingbacks of dummingham and reckord Midfield trio of green, Winchester and flynn. With flynn further forward. Erwin and mackay up top. Hopefully flynn might have a good game as it's the cup and he's our only chance of winning at the moment. Hopefully its his 1 good game in 5. blueatheart
Without doubt.Incorrect klaxon. Clarke will not miss the checkatrade game if he gets booked. Calvin Andrew however.... wouldn't surprise me if he plays. PlayItLivo
Oldham's the only hospitality I've been too where you have to queue up for 45 minutes for a buffet with 1 person serving. I dunno, maybe it's just me but when I think of hospitality I think of being waited on. The queue for the pies stand would be quicker, and cheaper too.
