Dave_Og
I suppose the likes of Johnson, Holden and Sheridan weren't sacked but safe to say this BBC table gives a misleading impression of stability! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38014171

real
Whilst the LMA is concerned with sackings, the culture of managers to leapfrog through jobs has an impact on loyalty shown by clubs. It's a 2 way thing.
kowenicki
Not misleading at all. We aren't a hire and fire club. Never have been. If the table was for turnover of managers it would obviously look different. But that is sometimes the clubs fault and sometimes the fault of managers on a career charge regardless of loyalty or professionalism. Stagger Lee
I've always thought that all Oldham managers have been given a fair go until last seasons fiasco. As Kowenicki mentions we are not really a hire and fire club. So much so that I think SR will be here until near the end of the season even if we get relegated. If we start looking like being relegated come december/january then Corney will sack him. Sounds like Robinson is already under pressure from those above him judging by his recent interviews. Monty Burns
People seem to be forgetting that SR didn't actually apply for the job, we headhunted him. Not really going to do that then fire him 20 games later.

UsedtobeWozzer
The Frizzell and Royle eras were aberrations when looking before and after Interesting they were also by some margin our most successful times since before WW1. Lessons to be learnt maybe.

In the current football environment Joe would have been hounded out long before he proved what he could do.
