RobOAFC
He's the only one who shows any fight, He'd be a massive loss. He would be a massive loss. But Gerrard is probably the best we could get as a replacement.
oafc1955
Getting rid of Clarke to accommodate Flitcroft seems like sheer lunacy to me if true, he's been our best player along with Ripley by a country mile!

If the Clarke sale proceeds can go towards finishing the White Elephant and Flitcroft wants lower wages than Shez, it'll happen. *youknowhowitworks
Diego_Sideburns
Perhaps Shez will use his payoff from Notts County to get the transfer embargo lifted.
deyres42
It's a smokescreen lads, the idea that you wouldn't know when such a thing would end, not believable.
dec666
Unlikely that Sheridan would return if the club had no funds for a few players, let alone if they couldn't give assurances on when the embargo would be lifted.

If Shez doesn't do it here he'll unlikely ever manage again. He has to get this move right, just lost nine games on the trot, can't have another failure. I don't think so.

singe
He has a transfer window and half a season. He's got about exactly the same proportion of a transfer window and time Robinson got. Time will tell.
Latics_Fanatic
He has a transfer window and half a season. but, he has inheirited a team with only three league wins so far, there's no guarantee that any players he brings in will be successful or gel with the existing squad. If we go down, other factors (eg. Investment, Robinson etc.) will have played a more prominent role IMO. Why are we debating this anyway? The Blues are staying up! pinevillawill
Anthony Gerrard set to re-sign once that happens. #oafc Did he actually say that? It's in the press conference thread. Gerrard and Clarke at centre half? Now that's a proper third division pairing if we ever did see one.
