Stevie_J
It's another great win, regardless of what team Brighton put out. For a non-league side to make the last 16 is pretty special.

This. Makes our exit seem nowhere near as bad, as well.
Stainrod
Sorry state though that now even Champioship clubs regularly put out depleted teams for the FA Cup, takes the gloss off the giant killings for me. Well done Linciln for taking full advantage.
yarddog73
When the greedy league is worth a cool £100 million a season minimum it's not difficult to see why those very close to getting there want to stick the FA Cup on the back burner. Well done Linciln for taking full advantage. It's an absolute piss take that championship teams or any team for that matter take the piss out the FA cup but fielding reserve teams. It shows the money in the premier league and for reaching the premier league takes absolute priority and fans turning up paying good money are being fleeced and ripped off. It's even more of a piss take when you consider clubs like ours gets a fine for making to many changes to a team in the paint pot. Detest modern day football me especially the silly money league. Maybe the FA should think about more lucrative rewards for FA Cup games if they want to inject some seriousness into it.

They should deduct points in the league for fielding weakened teams in the cup.

BP1960
Poor clubs fined in the Checkatrade trophy for fielding weakened teams, but not rich clubs in the FA Cup. Ridiculous.

singe
Simple solution? A Champions League spot for the winners. Good idea, and also be good if the FA could divert more of it's revenue to the FA Cup.

Stevie_J
Sutton through as well. Wonder if their opponents in the last 16 will take them both a bit more seriously.

Saw a cracking tweet earlier, "if it's a Sutton v Lincoln final, d'you reckon the TV companies will show Man United re-runs instead?" L1onheartNew
Hopefully Lincoln v Sutton in the next round thus guaranteeing a first QF berth for a non league side since the war and modern day immortality. I agree with BP. Give the winners a CL spot. Strip the PL of 4th and make 3rd place the qualification spot. Give the cup it's romance back... Agree a great achievement to get to the QF but they would be gutted to draw each other with all the big clubs in the mix and the income that will come from a big club draw. mcfluff1985
No chance the FA would take any focus away from a competition they make billions from to help a competition I doubt they're that bothered about anymore

Monty Burns
FA and Premier League seperate things aren't they? Yes. A fact that we, as a club, are around 8% responsible for.
