Monty Burns
It's pay on day in 85% of the stadium so no need.
Omar Don't Scare
I despise Sheffield United more than any team in the league - I'm not sitting amongst them whilst they break into that bastard chip butty song.
Dick_Valentine
So you can't just rock up and pay pound notes at the turnstiles?
Omar Don't Scare
So you can't just rock up and pay pound notes at the turnstiles? No, but farcically you can buy as a home fan
Dick_Valentine
Considering we're only 40 or so miles away, why would they rule out the supporters who might wake up today and fancy going to Sheffield to watch their team. They clearly don't need the money.
Monty Burns
You can though so get over there COME ONNNNN ? OWTB
mcfluff1985
Decided yesterday wanted to go. Was surprised they hadn't changed to pay on day
manshaw
A bit strange, not getting cash in hand on the turnstiles, from the supporters of a club, that apparently, doesn't hand over the ticket money for the away tickets sold. Priceless
NewBlue
Away end holds 6k and it's not pay on the day. The game gets more ridiculous by the day
tbontour
I'm confused. Can away fans pay on the gate or not? That is, in the Latics bit. I do not want to sit with Sheffield fans...
tbontour
Just confirmed with Sheff Utd ticket office. South Yorkshire Police have told them they're not allowed to sell tickets to away fans on the day. Home fans can pay on the day. So it seems the police would prefer to have away fans mixed in with the home fans rather than safe and happy in our own section. Ridiculous. You would have though Sheffield police would have learnt a few things from Hillsborough - or maybe this is what they learnt... rudemedic
Did the OP get a ticket in the end?
Fyldelatic
It wouldn't have been difficult to stay stum in the home end.
oafcmetty
Did the OP get a ticket in the end? Yes, two
Omar Don't Scare
Did the OP get a ticket in the end? Marc Klok sorted it for me. Good guy.
Stagger Lee
Marc Klok sorted it for me. Good guy. I understand he is a limited footballer but his attitude, effort, and commitment as impressed me. I think we are a better team with him on the pitch. I would get rid of other midfielders and keep him TBH
Steve_R
I got one yesterday from the ticket office at the away end. It cost me £27 for the privelidge, but they were on sale to Latics fans
