yarddog73
Not going to sit well with those who were opposed to Kelly, seems he may prove quite a divisive signing after reading Hibs forum. http://www.hibs.net/showthread.php?251689-Tom-English-on-Anthony-Stokes
Nohairdontcare
The guy's a scumbag and the people he hangs around with in Dublin are worse.
PlayItLivo
If he's comes in and scores 10 from now until the end of the season he could have Swastikas tattooed all over his body for all I give a :censored:.
NewBlue
Did we really need to bring this up? After the threats Kelly recieved, is it necessary or wise?

yarddog73
Do you think it wouldn't get brought up if he signed? I'm sure the club are well aware of his background I personally think it would be more trouble than it's worth.

Nohairdontcare
IF we signed him up he'd be our best forward signing in a long time - he'd still be a d**k though. But he'd be a good signing.
mcfluff1985
Your not bothered about protecting our family club image Mcfluff? We've had lee Hughes. We tried to sign evans We've signed sheridan as manager after he disgraced the family club of notts county Has stokes done anything illegal? Personally couldn't give a :censored: if he scores and keeps us up

I'd prefer us to sign players with little baggage but I understand why we'd be attracted to a player of his calibre, it just comes at a price and wont sit comfortably with some people. PlayItLivo
Your not bothered about protecting our family club image Mcfluff? "Family club image" is a whole load of bollocks. Every club is a "family club", and no club gets distinguished for it.

I wonder if things have changed in that time.
Danbright12
Not to assume to much, but it is slowly becoming very plausible that these 'Chinese investors' may actually bought a % in a club. Although I know Clarke's wages are high and that will cover the arrival of Stokes and Taylor, Matt Chambers stated on twitter that we are attempting to keep hold of Clarke still, so I have no idea how we can afford Clarke, Taylor and Stokes wages on our budget. Here's praying!!!!

Danbright12
Your not bothered about protecting our family club image Mcfluff? 'family club' went out of the window seasons back when we had FA warning coming out of our ears. A 'family club' isn't a family club if its supporters keep being reminded it's on it's last warning. Nohairdontcare
Got a link? If you google Anthony Stokes and Elvis you'll find it. Meanwhile google Anthony Stokes and Alan Ryan and Vincent Ryan. Or google Anthony Stokes and queen visit, and The Players Lounge.

24hoursfromtulsehill
I can explain. Since the start of this season I've been imploring the One True Roman Catholic God to come up with a plan to keep us up. Corney didn't have one...Robinson did his best but came up with nothing...but God seems to be coming through, first with Sheridan and now with the Ginger Prince. If you're bothered about Stokes's roots, just stare at Chris Taylor's hair for a bit to take your pulse rate down.

Stagger Lee
If only Barry had done his due diligence * sigh* Did not know anything about Stokes private life until this .... being able to ignore Scottish football is easy down here thankfully. Question for you all - How much of his views and past does the average Oldhamer know about this? More than Ched / Hughes? I'm trying to gauge the possible backlash. Nohairdontcare
Most people only become aware of something they can get outraged about when they see others get outraged about it - usually via twitter or facebook. If he signed, there'd be the usual amount of "outrage" quickly enough. I don't think it would be of the scale that would hit attendances etc though.
