blueatheart
Unfit. Or simply doesn't offer anything different against the clubs we've faced.
BP1960
Unfit. Or simply doesn't offer anything different against the clubs we've faced. His goal ratio at Hearts was 1.411 (practically a goal a game). Ok it's Scotland, but still makes me think he has more goals in him than the others. He was also prolific for Liverpool under 23s. Magister
What reservations? His hold up play is brilliant for this level Well he has scored just 8 goals in 82 football league appearances, we have lost 3 of the 5 games he has played for this season, he has only ever scored in one game for us, he has managed just 14 starts in the last 21 months,we have failed to score in 6 of the 14 games in which he has appeared for us, he was not able to get into the team of a club in our division..... there is a case to answer

Magister
Which tells us what about him? And anyway We have scored 3 goals in the 5 games when he has been on the field ( 1 a pen) That ratio over the 30 games we have played would have given us 18 goals.....we have scored 17! NewBlue
He is a hold up player with nobody to hold the ball up for. Yes, he doesn't score many, but he'd be at a higher level if he did.

Yes, he doesn't score many, but he'd be at a higher level if he did. He is a classy footballer with a decent touch. He needs to work on his strike rate but he will get better. yarddog73
The ironic thing about bringing Holloway in is we let the strikers go who may well of benefited from him being up there.
Lee Sinnott
Are we sure about Holloway? I for one have reservations I think most of our players are :censored:. But surely you can't be serious about that...?
Stagger Lee
From what little I have seen of him Holloway seems to have a lovely light first touch and control. I agree with BP that we need a goal poacher playing off him. It would be great for him to get a goal ASAP just to help him ease the pressure. I would prefer Ngoo to play alongside him rather than some of our other options.
Scapegoat
Still not convinced by Holloways "holdup" skills. Main last year was far better IMO and this year he has not shown the same ability to bully defenders and force time for other players to get into the game. GlossopLatic
I'd much prefer Holloway to Erwin McKay Ladapo or Osei right now. Reservations about his lack of goals yes thats a concern abd while goals are the most important thing for a striker it doesn't mean that if you don't score your not contributing. Holloway is contributing his hold up play gets us up the pitch and will lead to us creating chances. See how he made Mclaughlins goal against Peterborough. From I've seen from Ngoo I'm not seeing a player who should be starting but one who we put on when we are looking for a goal. 2 away fixtures when we are heading into the last 10 mins at 0-0 one where we are down to 10 men the other which is a notoriously difficult place to go for us are probably not the games Sheridan will be looking to throw him into. Saturday might be a different story.

sjk2008
Ngoo is a poor footballer. I've said it another thread and I'll stand it by it. Like I also said in the other thread, I'd love to be proven wrong.
