When he used to play on the right wing

Who put in the best cross of the afternoon? And from where?

If you give me 90 minutes I'd probably manage to put a decent cross in, is that the height of expectation for him?

Obadeyi put the best cross in and actually showed some real ability and promise on the right, Taylor meanwhile was fannying out of challenges, feigning injury and generally performed poorly, for the money he's reputed to be on is he really earning his crust or any real imorovement on what we had in Flynn? The answers is no on both counts, not that impressed with Flynn this season but he at least shows glimpses of quality, one final point about Taylor is his reluctance to want the ball, Ripley looks for an outlet and invariably Taylor has his palm up towards Ripley gesturing not to aim for him or signalling to slow it down which for me is poor from a man who should be shining in this team he's either unfit or unwilling and neither are acceptable in my book.

His lack of energy is my big concern, he has just has no get up and go in him.

Christ on a bike, imagine the meltdown if we lost! It's a point, we had one of our more dangerous attackers playing at right back and Reckord was on the pitch and we didn't conceed, Rips kept another clean sheet. Win against Oxford on Tuesday and people will be saying how easily we will stay up again. Not time for panic yet.

Big game Tuesday for sure, Oxford are one of the form teams away from home in League 1, they've won 8 away from home since the 2nd Jan including a 4-0 demolition of Dale at Scotland.

Peterborough, Luton, Chesterfield, Charlton, Swindon, Rotherham and Gillingham are their other victims since the turn of the year, in those 8 wins they've scored 22 goals.

Have to agree.

We had a number of players on the pitch who were seriously below par. At half time I was expecting both Banks and O'Neill to be substituted. Taylor was also a prime candidate.

We did improve second half and Sheridan should have brought Flynn and Erwin on much earlier.

For me it was a must-not-lose game so a point will do. Beat Oxford and i'lll be happy with the return.

4,300 home fans yesterday - if only we had given more...

I really didn't want us to be relying on our :censored:-tip of a pitch for an advantage but this looks like the kind of game where it may just be that. Edited by JohnnyPimp

There were two teams out there, forget the crap referee, and one wanted to win and the other was scared of losing.

Our midfield players were poor first half because our shape was poor. I was disappointed that Shez waited until half time to change formation.

I was disappointed that we settled for a draw when clearly Bury still wanted to win.

We could have scored but Bury should have scored.

A draw on Tuesday will not be enough. A loss and it will be an uncomfortable run in.

That game has knocked my confidence I hope it doesn't have the same effect on our players.

To say that 'our midfielders were poor because our shape was poor' is only part of the picture. A poor shape cannot explain the constantly underhit/overhit passes or the lack of drive or energy from all but Green.

Bury's players seemed far more comfortable on the ball and with the poor playing surface. I'm putting this one down to an off day and (strangely) feel far more positive about Tuesday.

Changing to 4-3-3 changed the game for us & it should of been done far earlier . Painful to pay money to watch Reckord , he doesn't actually want the ball played to him, even when in an acre of space .

O'Neil was poor yesterday & couldn't get into the game , we need more from midfield to support Holloway .

4-3-3 Tuesday

Ripley

Hunt (if fit)

Gerrard

Clarke

Wilson

Green

Banks

Taylor

Tope

Holloway

McLaughlin

Pace on the wings , Taylor playing off Holloway .

If Hunt is still out I'd play Wilson LB and Law RB. With goals so hard to come by, I think it's essential to have a set piece specialist on the pitch. We had a great position for a FK yesterday. Law on the pitch could be the difference maker, like in Shez's first game.

Ref was a joke. How do you give a free kick for a dive and not book the lad. Followed by that challenge on ripley which was at least a yellow

He gave the freekick for handball after Lowe had fallen over.

You dont get booked for stumbling just like Vaughan didnt get booked for going for the ball before Ripley had it.

He reached out and grabbed the ball.

If he's not dived he's committed a blatant bootable offence afterwards.

But he did dive and the ref's a tit.

I can't imagine why refs don't always book players for grabbing the ball before the whistle. It's completely disrepectful and trying to force the decision

And where would you suggest that we boot him?

Think it'd be harsh to book a player for falling on the ball.

Vaughan should have been booked though...

He grabbed the ball. So it is either a yellow for diving or a yellow for grabbing hold of the ball. Very simple. The one on Ripley was a yellow, minimum.

Shez has done amazingly well since coming in but yesterday was a mistake for him. Put the team out to weather the storm of lowe and Vaughan which they did then when lowe went off Shez should have changed things up and had a real go at them. No subs (other than Flynn which did nothing to change the attack) made to really pressure the Bury defence and change the front line. He settled for a point very early in the second half. Oxford on Tuesday is going to be difficult and Bury was the potential to get three of the four points he wants. He cant keep coming out and saying goals are the problem but then not attempt to change it upfront at any point in the game. Not the biggest fan of Osei or Erwin but we offered little in front in the last half an hour. Only making one sub with a game on Tuesday night was surprising so two games on our pitch in 3 days could lead to a lot of tired bodies towards the end of Tuesday's game.

Tired or just not fit enough, that is the question? some can't even last an hour after a weeks break.

Perhaps we should just book all eleven opposition players as they run out onto the pitch?

Methinks that you have a problem with objectivity. I bet that every time we have a cross blocked you scream for handball.
