parigby
BBC reporting that Sheff Unt are to re-sign him from Chesterfield for £500,000 !
oafc_lover
Absolutely ridiculous fee for a 5 goals in a season striker! Chesterfield will be laughing all the way to the bank.
opinions4u
Wasn't he on £5k a week? And contributed to their relegation? Only a modest profit in the end.

24hoursfromtulsehill
There must be a non-footballing reason for this. Can anyone think what it might be?

GlossopLatic
£500k!!!!! He has scored less goals this season than Lee Erwin who is also alot younger does this mean we are going to have she'll out 7 figures for him?
rosa
Peter Clarke scored as many league goals as him and hasn't spent half the season out injured. Should we be worried? (Course not, we wouldn't sell him even if the blunts offered a million quid.)
RoytonLatics
He only signed a 1 year contract with them, he'll be available for free this summer. And considering the financial throubls they're in, they'll be glad to get him off there books.

Yes, I'm sure Chesterfield's chief feeling is one of relief at getting £500,000 for a shit striker who's part of the reason they're going down. They'll be laughing their little titties off down at the Proact. Penny for the thoughts of Jess Ennis-Hill right now.

If she gave the tiniest fuck about Sheffield United she might think "how the fuck is a crock who spent half the season out injured and only scored 5 goals in League One gonna keep us in the Championship? We're fucked". But she doesn't.
oafcprozac
He was awful against us and we played 50 minutes with 10 men. Blown my theory out of the water that he might've been Shez's first signing of the summer. Very strange given he's been woeful this season and hasn't scored since December and not played since 4 march. Bet Hanson, Clarke and sharp are pissed! super_blue
Sheffield Utd bottled it not signing him when he came out of prison like the manager wanted...now he's innocent they have there tail between there legs as an apology for binning him off years ago when he was charged with rape. To be fair most strikers have been against us this season Wonder how SC feels about this? Sure it was the right thing not to sign such a devisive character but half a million would go a long way to paying for a scoreboard The poor bugger can't catch a trick! PlayItLivo
Oh and it can't go unsaid, "Can't believe the club have yet again pissed away the chance to sign a £500k striker when he was available for free and ready to sign for us, the board are clueless, Corney out, etc, etc" Edited April 24, 2017 by PlayItLivo

LuSiVe_CFC
Underground mutterings say it's nowhere near the £500k, more like £150k plus addons. Which will disappear into the usual black hole anyways. Can't help feeling we've been babysitting him for Sheff U the whole season and he'll now make a miraculous recovery from 'injury'. Glad you lot stayed up
