Dallas loaned out to Barrow for 1 year. Will be intersting to see how he plays when he has a midfield.

Fair to say that he won't go down as an inspired signing at Barnsley

The way that lads career has gone is just weird, something not quite right about the number of clubs he goes through.

Saying that he showed glimpses for us but had as bad a first touch that I've seen at BP in many a years, play to his strengths though and he's an handful.

Relieved he's not coming back here, didn't show enough for me while on loan. I know it's fifth division but that first touch...

This one is going back a while, but anyone who remembers American goalkeeper Winston DuBose and his single game for Latics in 1988 (League Cup v Darlington) might be interested - I recently interviewed him for my blog:

Good interview, thanks.  I was at the Darlington match so I'm pleased to have seen his only game for us.

I saw him play, very assured and commanding, took crosses with ease.

Keith was a regular at Belle Vue for many years, and Winsford before that, and was great company to discuss  greyhounds and reminisce about football so it's a great shame if he's passed.

He had defeated cancer once but never lost the boyish grin that endeared him to Latics fans of a certain era.

RIP Bebby.

Very quick and direct winger, one of my favourites.

This is a load of bollocks.

I have a friend who sees him every week-rang him last night and he assures me he is alive and kicking which is excellent news.

Well i am very happy to hear that , it is indeed excellent news . I was just reporting what I had read on the other forum  as there was no mention on here . Didnt mean to upset anybody.

Not ex Latics, but sad to read Denis Law is in a care home suffering from dementia.

I can't recollect him ever playing against Latics though. If he did perhaps someone will know when?

Did anyone else catch this on TV last night, about Medi Abalimba? I remember him being our solitary transfer deadline day signing around 10 years ago, fortunately he never got any game-time. Turns out he was a 'bit of a character' to say the least...
