slystallone
Not done bad for himself getting regular football at a decent championship club, for an anonymous player... But, bar his brief stay playing Right Back for us, he was anonymous; so all told it was a fair name for him? He has improved; his season with us; then with Brentford has improved him, but IMO he isnt of sufficient quality for regular football at Championship level. It says more about Lee Clark and Birmingham's plight in terms of transfer dealings and stature than it does of Tom A's ability that he is there and playing IMO... Twisbrogan
Tom always had something. Maturity is serving him well. When he girded his loins and decided to impose himself, he looked a player that could really drive at teams from midfield so in that respect I think it's fair to say he had potential. If he continues to do that more often as he gets older then he'll carve himself a decent career. However, when not doing that, he very often looked lost. I remember just focussing solely on him for 15 minutes in one match to see his movement and he didn't touch the ball once. He got to within a foot or so at times but didn't influence anything that was going on around him.
