rigsby
not a chance this game will be on IMHO. temps -2 tonight and around zero tomorrow- I would imagine there will be a pitch inspection early in the morning- and it will fail.

latics22
It’s as good as off 5 to 20 centimetres over the weekend.

oafcprozac
Frost covers can’t protect the area in front of the main stand it’s in perma shade and it’s forecast to snow quite heavily from late morning. personally I’d dig out the orange tango and get it on... leeslover
The forecast says it might reach as low as minus 1 tonight. Well, if anyone finds a pair of brass testicles on the way to the ground tomorrow do pick them up and keep them, they fell off me getting from a taxi to my front door at about a quarter to

I dont get why we should be worrying about the side roads, it aint that bad. Get the game on and let people make up their own mind whether to attend or not. Bloody health and safety. Lee Sinnott
I live about 100 yards from BP- I would be amazed if there is even a pitch inspection...
Smiler13
Anybody know if the match is on or off please? I have to travel over 100 miles to get to the game. Has there been snow in Oldham overnight?

All I can say is that Claytons appears soft as Pogs is on there doing his keeper training with some young lad and Barry the steward was in there with Cyril the Greyhound half n hour ago and said it was soft also. I'd probably say that Claytons would cop it more than the pitch itself, but what do I know lol I'm not sure how much they take the local streets/paths into consideration though as they're pretty iced up in places! Can't say whether to set off or not, but i feel your concern as I've also booked a day off work for this .. Hope this helps mate

mikeroyboy
Generally but rarely matches are called off due to outside stadium conditions because of heavy snowfalls at grounds with under soil heating. This is not the case here. All roads are open and our citizens are going about their business with care at the moment. If the pitch is playable we will be good to go. The weather changing is in the lap of the gods. I hate the uncertainty of some winter home games.
yarddog73
If too much snow gets onto the covers the match will most definitely be off as they'd struggle for the manpower to shift them. Personally think it's 50/50 at the moment.
pukka
Struggling for money, but haven't been to a game since Bury. I decided to buy a ticket yesterday when I cant really afford it. It's gunna be off.

That’s the usual reason for postponements when the weather is like this.
