Paul Terry has been here months but what has Jewell brought? Is he even on the touch line? Experience can sometimes be a bad thing and he appears to have put the reins on Wellens to our detriment Could Jewell's experience be overwhelming or undermining Wellens? I'm not sure it is. As Wellens said, they are not mates and he didn't have a close relationship with him as a player, so I have to assume that Jewell is there for support and advice, not tactics and team selection. Paul terry is involved with the reserves, according to the article on the official site. Risdale at game, one tweet reckons Hunt for Doyle is a done deal. Make of that what you will...it is Twatter, after all. Edited December 30, 2017 by Wardie Info and general rumour mill.
Flemboy
Penalty was right in front of the ref .Thought the game was there to be won and several shots went wide and their keeper made a brilliant save from Holloway in a crowded penalty area.Late on a goal bound shot was deflected round the post for another corner.Their goal was another soft goal. This game shows how we miss Doyle and his natural goal poaching ability. disjointed
Dumminghan mom for me, highlight of the game was the tremendous reaction save by their keeper, well played goalie you c***. Oh and it needed a little more drum today to raise the atmosphere.

rigsby
So, a point is a point. Clearly we are going to be nowhere near the playoffs so its all about preserving our league 1 status , every little helps.

Agreed but with 21 games to go, it is possible to climb away from the zone, as have Plymouth, Fleetwood and Doncaster with just a few consecutive results. Equally, they could just as easily be back in it again.

We actually looked like a football team when he came on, alright not all his passes came off but he was pulling the strings. I think Richie needs to get the players practicing ball control, Tope was awful, Nepo too. At least Fane kept control of it no matter how ungainly he looks, lets hope Macarena is shit hot as we really need someone different in the middle of the park. archiecat
I sincerely meant good luck to Byrne, he should not have been sat on his arse for an hour. God only knows what was going on in Wellens head.

ShireBlue
I was critical of Byrne but he should have started the game. We didn’t look like scoring until piling on the pressure in the last 20 minutes. Their goal was another poor one on our part.
