Anyhow, point still stands he's proven to be the better player this season. I thank him for his efforts last season but, Gerrard is better. Gregan must have been bloody massive because every time i saw us play Leeds that Beckford had stand on the touchline to try and get past him. It proves that AG is more than filling the void left by clarkes form last season. Whilst getting us more solid at the back. It's alright for Clarke to score 1 of the 4 at mk. But, we shouldn't have thrown away a 2 goal lead. The main argument from some was that we'd miss Clarke's 'goals'.

He was part of a truly shocking defensive set up that threw a 2 goal lead away, to piss poor opposition.

They both have their qualities and both have their weaknesses - hence the reason they play in League 1 also, considering that Tuesday was our first clean sheet since November and that we’ve had absolutely horrendous form since Christmas your argument of him making us more solid at the back is rather weak too Edited February 17, 2018 by Buckshawlatic

Our defence still wobbles.
Longlostfan
Both Vic Halom and John Hurst were carrying plenty of weight in my early seasons, didn't stop them being effective. This season we are a 3rd division side, maybe by the end of next we will be looking up. For the next 4 months we've got what we've got, celebrate the win, have a day off like the squad. Check in later hoping Scunthorpe, Bristol and Charlton have had a good day- we could be in charge of our own destiny for the first time in months by 5 pm
