Bristolatic
Just spoken to my kids who live in Hull, not a million miles away from Scunthorpe. Lots of snow about, wind is whipping it up, sub zero temperatures and more snow forecast for later today. Granted, Scunthorpe is further inland than Hull, but it didn't sound too good. Inland would make it worse I think.

TheBigDog
All depends on whether the weather continues to move from East to West - unbelievably this game could be on if that is the case ?

I see your point but Scunthorpe is west of Siberia where this lot is coming from.
oafcmetty
My dad lives in Bigby Green, about 20 miles away. His thoughts when I asked him of the chances of the game being on: "slim"

kowenicki
This aint happening is it... Mass postponements this week. Travelling is a nightmare, let alone the state of the pitches.
GlossopLatic
Make other plans guys youve got no chance of getting over the top nevermind getting back both Snake pass and Woodhead currently closed. If its not called off today it will be tomorrow. Edited March 1, 2018 by GlossopLatic
HarryBosch
Forecast currently says 3 degrees and raining there on Sunday. If both clubs were agreeable who'd go if they announced they were moving it to the Sunday now? I probably would..

Couldn't be arsed going long before the bad weather to be honest.

HarryBosch
Scunny are asking for volunteers to shift the snow on Friday. Seems they think they can get this on. I bet they've got a better kettle than us.
losesome
Think the pitch will be playable as snow is a great insulator but whether the roads are passable is another matter. Just seen clip on bbc a news reporter on the M180 and its a no go zone.

They let rugby league fans stand up and drink beer within sight of the pitch and everything. Obviously a more civilised crowd.

Fans will have to decide for themselves as the game will be on, if possible, with or without them.
