Lee Sinnott
Gerrard doesn't make it. Eddie in for Wilson. Byrne and Davies dropped for Paddy Mac and Nazon...
Bristolatic
Davies not even on the bench. Injured or dropped?
kowenicki
Can’t argue with those dropped.

latics22
You wouldn’t drop from the squad your top scorer for Benteke!

oafc1955
I’m sure our managers consult this site when making changes. Can’t agree with dropping Byrne as he’s arguably our best player, just playing him in the correct position would help enormously. I’m not sure Bryan paired with Edmundson is a good idea either. latics22
Going out on a limb hope I’m wrong, but looks like a team likely to concede 3 and lose
Ritchierich
Unbelievable that Byrne gets dropped and that clown Fane starts, part of the reason Byrne drops so deep is he has absolutely no faith in Fane (or others to be honest) winning the ball and then being able to pass it to him so he feels the need to go and get the ball himself.....he's being blamed for others deficiencies as always, I’ll be right behind the Latics players out there but I am less and less convinced Wellens is clear about his players and tactics

Edmondson is far more vocal and stronger in the air, no brainer for me because Wilson has looked way out of his depth this season.

Fair comments and would like to see George get a run if he plays well today.
the_mighty_bosh
I'd be delighted if it works and I'd happily be proven wrong, but I think Wellens has taken too much of a gamble with the changes he's made. Really hope I'm wrong.
