sjk2008
https://www.villatalk.com/topic/11916-jordan-lyden/?page=10 Found this thread on the Villa forum. Majority rate him a lot and cannot understand why he hasn’t made more appearances for them. Sounds like an energetic, combative midfielder. Very vocal too it seems. Hands on
Looks like a good loan which might sort out the midfield muddle. Interesting to see who has this seasons shirt in the first team photo gallery - obviously isn't one that fits Byrnes inflated opinion of himself. daniel
Sounds like he’s had a lot of injuries, but Villa fans rate him. Keep him fit and he sounds like he will do well.
LaticMark
Never heard of him, but let's hope he's another Matty Palmer.
Diego_Sideburns
An alleged villain replaced by a Villain, who sounds very promising. https://twitter.com/OfficialOAFC/status/1035549061833740288

Midsblue
Spoke to a few Villa fans - Cracking signing if we experience Lyden pre injuries. Box to box midfielder; predominantly a defensive midfielder breaking up opposition play but also loves taking ball forward creating chances. Normally plays through middle but comfortable on the wing creating crosses and assists. Scores goals too from midfield as well as free kicks. In the mould of Steven Gerrard or Jack Wilshere but sounds like Jack Byrne during his loan albeit he tracks back to support defence and a leader on the pitch. The lad is one of their best development squad players and captains the U23s. Had it not been for his injuries and the likes of Grealish, Lansbury etc in midfield, Lyden would be in the first team by now. Fans love him and the player that they want to progress into the first team. Fortunately for us, the takeover at Villa and eyeing Prem football means the opportunities for Lyden will diminish so we may extend his loan beyond a January. Hopefully remains fit as he’ll be brilliant fir us in midfield allowing Baxter and Gardner to go forward.

I’d rather this reaction to all signings from now on. Beats dismissing them as shit before we’ve seen them. I’m looking forward to seeing him play. As I do with all new players. That’s because people are too busy slagging the club off for releasing Byrne.

yarddog73
Suppose this is what happens when you look to strengthen in the last few minutes before the window shuts - amateurish at best.
oldhamoafc
Bunn did sound annoyed but he’s only got himself to blame, he signed him knowing the risk, he’s spent the budget how he has (mostly decent btw). worrying how he alluded to we can only really afford to do this kind of deal due to finances. The wage bill has been cut by over 50% and now being told we can only sign crocks basically.
