youngen
It doesnt matter whos in charge cos we will still have a midfield of Missilou and Maouche, so league position isnt improving any time soon.

This is league two and if our below average players compete with all the other below average players they come up against , then decent management/coaching should be sufficient to help us achieve something. As long as he's at the bottom of the applicant's list, preferably with the likes of Graham Westley and Lee Clark that'll do me.

It might go totally tits up but at least he'll know then that it isn't the solution. I suspect that he has wanted to bring in someone he knows the last two times (because he was effectively in control when Wellens got it) but decided to placate the fans. If they weren't the people he wanted then it becomes easy for him to get frustrated and bin them off. The only way to move forward in the long term might be for him to bring in someone he completely trusts. You never know, it might even work out.

oafc1955
Another rookie is out of the question as we may as well have stuck with Frankie until the end of the season. We’ve had 7 rookies since 2010 and only Lee Johnson has produced a half decent side. This time we have to get a proven manager for this level even if it means enticing someone from his present job. Just how we will be able to tempt someone is another matter, providing a decent budget for this transfer window would be a good start. Whether the money is there or not is another question. We will probably lose Surridge amongst others next week and thus reverting back to Oldham ‘nil’. We are not safe yet by any means and another couple of quick losses will set the alarm bells ringing! The word is out in the football world as to how bad life is at BP, any experienced manager accepting the job will have to be desperate.I am sure there will be one out there
al_bro
A lot of potential managers will have been put off because of AL. It must now be common knowledge around the football lower league world what has been going on at OAFC. Even managers out of work will know that they are on a hiding to nothing if they take the job.
