oafcmetty
"Here's a pound to buy your ground". Remember the RRE singing that to Stockport fans at the start of the Penney season. Seriously though, if it's in any way feasible, we should be all over this as a fan group.

Handsy
How much will it cost does it include the north stand if not will there be an option to buy the north Stand
Zorrro
The North Stand and, crucially, the facilities it contains are what AL is interested in. Brassbank have quoted him a figure double its value.

Therefore it appears to mean the whole of the football ground. However, if the fan-led group's talks are only with Brassbank, it looks like it only refers to the North Stand. lookersstandandy
If there is no football club resident on the site then their building is worthless. You’d imagine they’ll be selling up lock, stock & barrel.

Dave_Og
Including the apparent need for a great deal of expensive work on the main stand and chaddy end this sounds like fantasy to me. I hope not but I will retain a sceptical view until shown otherwise.

League one forever
So. . They want to sell. We have six months to put a bid together. We assume it’s the north stand? If the fans can’t buy them out. The world will end. Boundary Park will Burn. An we’ll all be nomads wandering the lower leagues. Or. They quote their vastly overpriced stand to the commercial market - they laugh. An say come back with something more realistic. They won’t sell at market value. Meanwhile another 4 years has passed, and we’re 17th in league one.

deyres42
Positive for me, Brassbank lads must have indicated there is a deal to be done. Interested to know the make up of this fan led group.

Should the fanled group fail / AL not have the funds / the council not be willing...... the alternative is a landowner with other objectives..... that do not include the football club being resident on it. There is nothing far fetched about that conclusion.
