oafcmetty
Just now, PeteG said: Exactly, if you are not wearing any colours and keep your mouth shut how would anyone even know? Depends what email address you used on the Rochdale site. If it's in OAFC's database, you could be fucked.

Good point that actually. Although my email address that is in OAFC's database is also in Bolton's and City's as i've previously bought tickets there as a daytripper! kev1970
They have obviously noticed alot more seats being sold in the home stands than the normal few hundred and now getting worried.
deyres42
A proper bungled job. Oldham Athletic Supporters Foundation surprisingly quiet on the issue.

The Dale need to swallow their pride and give us another stand. Then a ticket-swap amnesty can go ahead.
Worcester Owl
Interesting. Is it actually lawful to cancel a purchase without offering a refund? "Visiting supporter" sounds somewhat vague. Visiting from where? Supporting whom?
yarddog73
That statement today is laughable, only one way they can stop absolute carnage all over the ground is to give us another area for our fans and try to limit the issues on the day, fuck ups all round to be honest and given most of our other big aways have been moved to Tuesdays this really is going to turn in to nob heads day out.
hollandspies
It’s a box ticking exercise to cover what the NL would expect. Realistically, it’s like saying “please keep off the pitch” when you’re just about to win the two legged play-off semi at home.

Ritchierich
Why are football clubs uniquely incapable of planning ahead for these fixtures and ensuring everyone who wants a ticket can get one? It’s staggering really, the ground won’t be anywhere near full and yet hundreds of Oldham fans will be denied entry or subject to police threats. Its not like lower league football doesn’t need the money, apart from anything else! Pathetic but standard these days sadly

Pathetic but standard these days sadly Rochdale don't have any obligation to give us more tickets just because demand may outstrip supply. The way the tickets were distributed is the issue. jsslatic
Given the clear fuck up on how tickets were sold, it's disappointing that this is the club's first word on the issue apart from announcing there'd be no more tickets. Not to say it's not warranted in and of itself but I am surprised there's been no apology or commitment to reviewing away ticket selling practices in the meantime. Instead we're a week away from another local game with no news whatsoever about the mechanics of ticket sales. I do hope OASF are raising this with the club. If they're not and they're reading, then please do so. Also still looking for 2 tickets for Dale if anybody ends up with any please Edited October 7, 2023 by jsslatic
