Transfer Rumours 24/25

Recommended Posts

Every possibility Mellon wants a striker that will grow with us and be good enough for league 1  especially if we are going to pay a substantial fee.  Bit frustrating though because Forest green have taken it up a notch. Heard the Asamoah deal was on the cards he is a winger so dont know if it will still trigger Stones release . But there is talk of another forward  addition at Wigan guess we will have to see.

If FGR can afford to spend money on fees for both players Quigley and Cardwell, with the revenue they generate from nearly 1/3 of our attendances, it makes you wonder who we can afford to buy 🤔

Dale Vince is worth around 400 million quid, completely different level. He's probably spent more on funding Stop Oil protests than Frank has spent on Oldham Athletic

Didn't think we could sign him permanently after the window and can't loan signings only be for a month (and then renewed) outside of window? Isn't that what we did with Abraham, Peck, Stones etc...?

Thought we still could sign permanently, Didn’t we sign Reid outside of the EFL window?

Asamoha allegedly signed for Wigan.

Another piece of the jigsaw falls into place. 6 figure sum so they'll need to get some money off us for Stones. Watch this space?

Also Wigan have signed winger/striker Shayden Harris from Aberdeen and asamoah and Humphreys gone to Barnsley so Stones must surley be happening??

He must have thought "We need to get out of this league at the first time of asking" and has spent accordingly. Not guaranteed to work though, is it?

With him as club owner makes you wonder why they had back to back relegations. But then again perhaps not.

Humphrys left Wigan in May at the end of his contract

Yep, but only after Stockport had released him from his contract. I'm pretty certain we couldn't sign Stones permanently after tonight unless Wigan paid him up and released him...

Wigan journo has said Stones is staying.

Have we pissed about for 3 months just to not get him at all? Madness.

Not bothered in the least

They'll be other's and possibly far better, that's how football rolls

Mellon has control on the signings now.

If we keep struggling for goals/finishing our chances - this is on him.

Why do you want Mellon to fail?. Clearly you do

Tbh Stones would have simply been a nice to have.

Norwood, Garner, Fondop and Reid is a capable strike force with enough goals between them. It’s up to the midfield and wide players to provide the service. That’s where the biggest improvement needed to be made. We’ve got the players to put the ball in the back of the net. It’s the phases of play before that we were lacking in.

Why do you misconstrue posts to suit your made up narrative? Which clearly you have.

He is in charge of signings.

That means he has chosen not to prioritise a striker. Fine.

Hopefully our options are enough. . if they’re not; he is responsible and will quite rightly live or die by the decisions he makes.

Oh, and by the way - he has said himself we need to take our chances in 3 of the 5 games. So let’s hope Mikey has season like no other. Garner suddenly scores over 15 for the first time in years, and Nors can start scoring straight away after a lengthy lay off.

We need to move on now find another striker to accompany Norwood up front similar to stones to do the leg work.He obviously did not want to come to Oldham or it would have happened even on loan.

No, we don’t Kev- apparently suggesting Mellon should’ve signed a striker means you want him sacked.

Nope save the bullshit, it's purely an observation

Well save your bullshit observations for other people. And stop making things up.

We need another a striker.

Mellon needs to go.

Not the same sentence are they?

So my observation was right.
