PlayItLivo
If FGR can afford to spend money on fees for both players Quigley and Cardwell, with the revenue they generate from nearly 1/3 of our attendances, it makes you wonder who we can afford to buy Edited August 30 by PlayItLivo
diggleblue
Asamoha allegedly signed for Wigan. Another piece of the jigsaw falls into place. 6 figure sum so they'll need to get some money off us for Stones. Watch this space?

There is no FFP and they have a very wealthy chairman

Isn't that what we did with Abraham, Peck, Stones etc...? My understanding is it follows the protocol of the signing clubs window. Ie NL has no current window so we can sign any player on a perm basis from any league that sanctions this. Happy to be corrected if this is not right

Same goes for FGR. Its got little to do with our respective attendances
penrhyn
Every possibility Mellon wants a striker that will grow with us and be good enough for league 1 especially if we are going to pay a substantial fee. Bit frustrating though because Forest green have taken it up a notch. Heard the Asamoah deal was on the cards he is a winger so dont know if it will still trigger Stones release . But there is talk of another forward addition at Wigan guess we will have to see.

He's probably spent more on funding Stop Oil protests than Frank has spent on Oldham Athletic

Not guaranteed to work though, is it?

But then again perhaps not.

Think it would be different if we signed a player from a fellow non league side, like we did with Nuttall...
aaronoafc
Wigan journo has said Stones is staying. Have we pissed about for 3 months just to not get him at all? Madness.

League one forever
Mellon has control on the signings now. If we keep struggling for goals/finishing our chances - this is on him.
