I think mellon has lost faith in kitching, Not played him last two games. Think he spat his dummy out after the reid situation

When Reid inevitably leaves, we need someone who can come in when his best mate Kitching starts to cry about the situation again.

Wise move and Doro can also provide extra cover if needed.

Caprice,  Khan and a striker (preferably  Stones) makes this look a strong squad.

Be amazed if we don't see outgoings, permanent or loans.

If we are trying to sign Stones that would make Reid 5th choice.

He has to be going surely!

Caprice signing seems a wise move.

We could definitely use another striker, preferably with some pace, even if one to develop.

I'm slightly more concerned that in signing another keeper we're paving the way for Hudson to leave. Norman's form does not inspire confidence.

Don’t ever refer to that shite as a pint of bitter!!😂😂😂

Haha . I am sorry.

I never actually drank it but I just remember the adverts back in the day and it has stuck in my head.

Perhaps if I had drank some I would block it from my memory :)

Can you have too much experience? Still think we need some younger legs in midfield and up front but MM seems to be very much in the older ex EFL camp. Short term so needs to work this season.

Joe Garner still confuses me, why did we sign him

Time will tell if he is able to get up to speed for us, Monty,

Hope I am wrong.

Hes scored goals for us which have contributed to wins.

But sometimes it's not the player that you need it is the man, and Mellon has talked at the fans forum about him driving standards in the dressing room. Like Norwood he's at an age where he needs younger more energetic legs around him but he cam still be an asset to us.

Assuming we sign Khan, if we can offload Reid, Hogan & Norman & get in a striker, hopefully Stones, there is no reason why we can’t win this division.

I think this team could also be good enough to be able to challenge at the top end of league 2!

He also wins shed loads of free kicks. If we can sort out our attacking set pieces (which were dreadful last year) then that will be a massive asset.

They'll need one. Stones isn't good enough for L1 at the moment. Another 6 months here will do him good...

I think it’s not talked about but I think Stones really struggles with injuries. Does he also have a condition?

Osgood schlaters is a condition affecting the knee in young adults caused by rapid growth which causes tension on the quads insertion point just below the knee cap or caps. The condition is painful and restricts running ability. Usually treated with rest till the growth of muscles and limb length catc up. Takes months rather than weeks to settle. But it does usually resolve.
