Bobledgersheart
Played well in a none too friendly friendly. Could have had more goals and a pen but overall was pleased with our shape and energetic pressing. Jes looks a fullback's nightmare if he can find a final ball and Charsley seems to be bedding in. Overplayed it a bit at the back which led to Shrewsbury's best chances but onwards and upwards. penrhyn
Listened to the commentry today sounded like a very solid display from defence to midfield . If Khan signs would still like another midfilder. Think we can safetly say the Matt Smith rumour was exactly that . But do expect us to sign two players this week maybe both from the same team . penrhyn
Wouldnt mind Smith if the rumour is true , but cant help thinking it would have been done by now as he is a free agent. But also he would be no nearer a start than Norwood or Garner due to a lack of pre season. Guess we will see this week could be Smith and Jones or Dalby. Hopefully no new injury problems and a good week of training ahead. Think Khan will get a deal as he has versatility - midfield or wing-back. Be nice to get a couple more in then it's all systems go. Can't wait.
GKing521
One swallow does not make a summer. Seemingly strong at the back, but we're still very light on firepower. Norwood won't be sharp for at least another 8 weeks and does anyone know if Joe Garner is alive?!
LightDN123
We do seem to be far better at the back and a general better balance to the squad. But, we still seem light in wide areas and up top. Still missing that creative player. Seems like it will be the same that we are good against teams that attack us / playing away from home. But will struggle to break down the lesser sides. But, let’s see what happens.

pcassist
Went to the game today, travelled up from Worcester. Met my 2x boys in the club bar and no problems with service, price or options to drink. Had a really nice pie before the game, very nice indeed. Enjoyable game God's#9 scored and nearly got sent off. Very impressed with Raglan Ogle, Jez and Monthe. Gardner ran the game and Conlan was a little over enthusiastic at times. We outplayed Shrewsbury who looked a yard slower than Latics. Good omens for the new season and whoever joins the team. If being stronger at the back means we concede fewer goals in those poor spells then at least when we can't break down sides we can turn those games into draws and maybe 1-0 wins rather than the surrendering defeats of last season. Here's hoping.
