MATCH: Wealdstone (A) 17/08/24

Recommended Posts

Get in. Particularly sweet as I’m abroad so had the pleasure of the wealdstone comms team on the feed. Jeez I thought Roy was one-eyed. The Jimmy Greaves soundalike co-comms even trying to argue that it wasn’t a red card.

Very promising to be coming away from a game like that with another 3 points and another clean sheet. Come on!

Great result, can't ask for more than two wins from two.
No subs, is he saving them for fresh legs on Tuesday?

More player appraisal from BP is obviously the way to go! :D

We made 3 subs mate

Really? I was following on the Flashscore site and it didn't mention any subs.
That site's going downhill as well, now.

Yeah I use LiveScore and they don’t have anything either.

Caprice for Ogle (60)

Kay for Hammond (60)

Lundstram for Gardner (67)

Kitching for Uchegbulam (87)

I thought the subs made a difference for us. Injected pace and freshness just when we needed it.

2 games 2 wins 0 conceded. Superb start.

Not the prettiest but teams who do something win those games. Well done lads.

Charsley what a find.

Raglan and Monthe where quality.

Kay did well when he came on.

We were very controlled in possession today and not over run at all-by a team who done so twice last season and played us off the park in doing so.  They were difficult to break down and were happy to sit deep and keep shape.

Pressed from the front and gave them no time on the ball, epecially that Cook who was very effective in bringing ball out in last seasons games.  The keeper also fluffed his lines more than once.

Midfield worked tirelessly, as did big Mikey, great piece of work by him for the goal by the way and some header for the finish.

How we missed some of those at the end!  Kitching could of had another 14 goes and probably wouldn't of scored!!!

Two from two and you can't argue with that!

Thought Charsley apart from his goal was poor and Jess lost possession far too often.

Caprice for Ogle for me at right back and Kay for Hammond v Fylde.
