I still think he needs sacking for us to make progress

This magical dream scenario where a new manager comes in and transforms everything and takes us on a winning run has never happened in the 27 years and 33 managers (?) I've seen watching Latics, so I'm not sure why you're so convinced it'll work this time

What pubs is there near the ground?

There was a pub 200 yards from away end full of Latics fans last year. Had a car park too. Didn’t go in so can’t comment on it.

It gets busy, but there must have been 15 behind the bar, served pretty quick. Frank was in there before the game.

I see recruitment has fallen flat on its face again..

I'll always support the team but sorry to say ,the club is an absolute  shambles and the fans deserve better ,much better than the dog shit they are served up week in week out since Frank saved the club.

My sympathy is with Frank and the fans........

Why is it histrionics?

It's true,the club is a shambles.

And as I said,I don't blame FR.

Recruitment has been solid and is probably a striker away from being a good, competitive squad.

The start to the season, whilst not perfect, has been decent with plenty of signs of improvement.

Off the pitch catering aside the club is in the best place it's been for years and crowds are up

As I said, histrionics

Why are we looking for a striker in September?

That in itself is ridiculous.

The performances have been mediocre at best BTW.

Because other positions were bigger priorities.

And that's your opinion, but there's definitely been an improvement

None of this points to the club being a "shambles"

Let's agree to disagree .

We'll go round in circles and I've no desire to argue.

I'd love to be wrong and I'd love us to get 3 points today.

These will be up for it today, will know we have weaknesses and won’t show any respect. They will on the front foot, pressing, lots of movement and energy and will want the ball.

Tough afternoon coming

No reason we can't do the same.

Recruitment has been solid if you look at the players Mellon knows and has brought in (Monthe, Caprice), I'm presuming Conlon recommended Charsley and Ogle has been on the radar over 12 months (yes we've been here before), that leaves Uchegbulam and Kay we've brought in who you'd class as 1st team starters, for me I'd have preferred if we took Haughton and Sinclair from those clubs but that's my personal choice.

Everybody knows that on top of a solid foundation the one position you need to fill is the striker position yet in gameweek 6 we still haven't managed to get one in despite seemingly throwing all our eggs in one basket, at best that business can be described as naive at worst it's full blown incompetence, I've no doubt Micky has told the board we are light up top but yet again it appears that we can't get a deal over the line.

I get it he was the No 1 target but the fact it's broke down after months and weeks of chasing without a conceivable back up plan just shows we are being run by a bunch of amateurs, sorry if that sounds harsh but since the Rothwells came in a recurring theme is the constant shitshow our 'Recruitment department' creates, from bringing in absolute raffle winners on inflated contracts to allowing 12 month contract extensions to trigger it's just one thing after another.

I don't blame the management team one but, it's inherent at the club and needs addressing because we are being took for fools.

I posted yesterday about us hemorrhaging points and on the face of it you could argue that it was a bit of an hysterical reaction but this game is dictating by small margins and not having that key player in has cost us points.

There's clearly money there yet all our efforts have gone on a man who'd already  announced his retirement and another who we've been told from minute one of pre season is unavailable and his parent club are keen to keep him and we've ended up with nothing.

Laughable really.
