nzlatic
Brilliant battle. Brilliant fight. Despite being on the back foot for a lot of the 2nd we didn’t look panicked and we didn’t give up many chances. Get in!
EeeByGum
It was akin to Custer’s last stand at times but 3 points is a precious prize and regardless of the shenanigans I can’t fault the outcome.

Dave_Og
For all their pressure and possession did Hudson have a save to make in the second half?

deckyd
Excellent result. Monthe is a mountain of a man, what a defensive performance. First half decent and even, end to end. Second half they put us under a lot of pressure for 25 mins or so and couldn't break us down. We were poor second half from a footballing perspective, but Jesus they worked hard tonight. Last 20 minutes broke the play up, ruined Forrest Greens rhythm and managed the game superbly well. Our only shot on target tonight was the goal possibly- the most important one. There's is definitely a work ethic to this side that's been missing since we have been down in this division. Think the club needs to convince Fondops dad to come over more often.

League one forever
Was working tonight, so missed the game. How did Norwood play? Someone on Twitter saying Garner showed more in ten minutes than Nors did all game?

L1onheartNew
Tonight's FGR are the best team I have seen for five years. Slick, confident accurate pass and movement. However, it all fell down in the final third. Fantastic defensive display from us.

disjointed
They are the best team I have seen this season, but by fuck did we battle, the players deserve all the plaudits, left nothing on the pitch, the last 15 minutes the crowd really got behind them, proper team performance.

Someone on Twitter saying Garner showed more in ten minutes than Nors did all game? Just another knobhead latics fan who doesn’t know what they are talking about. Fondop and Norwood worked their bollocks off and actually had a decent partnership going in the 1st half. Norwood with a great assist for Fondop who hit a cracker on the half volley. Both Fondop and Norwood gave the ball away a few times, but both had good games, with Fondop edging it as he is so good defensively in our own box defending corners etc. Garner was excellent when he came on and is such a nuisance for the opposition when its a game like that! oafc1955
We can’t rely on worldys from Fondop every week and If it wasn’t for his contribution we’d probably be in mid table! What has happened to Norwood?…he should be looking fitter by now but looks way off the pace. We need a Matty Palmer type to drive us forward…Conlon & Lundstram just don’t get us up the pitch enough and are so weak in possession. A wins a win but we’ll certainly need to improve.
BradKnowles1
Absolute colossus performance down the defence. Mellon got his team selection spot. Hobson came in an won everything. Forest green were a really good passing team and loved it around well. Cracking goal from Fondop. Mellon reacted and made changes and went 4-4-2 which helped our shape. Despite all their possession they rarely threatened Hudson. Big three points, let’s not do a typical Latics and get beat off the bottom of the league.

I thought Conlon and Lundstram had good games, broke things up against a good incisive passing side. I can't fault any of our starting 11 for what they gave tonight.
Littlemoor Lad
Thankfully, Garner's looking more lively and showing all that nouse needed to frustrate and break up play Fondop just plays by his own rules and he's smashing it
